A decorative urn that wasn't originally designed to hold water needed to be converted into a working feature.
Approach
Built a sump pit beneath the urn with a submersible pump, then integrated planting and irrigation around the feature so water appears to disappear back into the ground.
Result
A calm, sculptural focal point with the planting and irrigation tied in for ongoing health.
Challenge: A large expanse of the property had been lost to steep, sloping ground, leaving the area completely unusable. The client wanted to reclaim the land and create a broad, practical space they could put to use.
