Challenge
The client described coming home after work with an ‘ugh’ feeling every time she walked through the front gate. She wanted the entrance transformed into something that felt welcoming and memorable—a space with real impact while still remaining practical and easy to move through every day.
Approach
We designed a hardwood timber deck that guides visitors naturally from the front gate before branching toward the front door and a secluded garden nook. A large feature urn, tropical planting and contrasting white stone create a focal point that immediately draws the eye, while the layout ensures every part of the space remains functional and easy to use.
Result
The finished landscape completely changed the feel of the home's entrance. What was once an uninspiring space became a striking tropical arrival experience that combines form and function. The new deck provides clear access through the garden, while the feature planting and water feature create the ‘wow’ factor the client had hoped for every time she arrives home.
Challenge: A large expanse of the property had been lost to steep, sloping ground, leaving the area completely unusable. The client wanted to reclaim the land and create a broad, practical space they could put to use.
